Editorial policy

Every article is published by the TheCleverKitty editorial team — hands-on makers at a real craft table. Nothing publishes without a human edit pass, a finished test piece, and an opinion.

How tutorials are tested

Every project is made start to finish before it publishes, with exact materials recorded: felt weight and fiber, stitch types, drying and setting times. Finished pieces get washed, worn, or gifted. Failures get fixed and the fix ships in the tutorial.

How gift picks are chosen

Picks survive real use first. Affiliate availability never decides placement, and no brand can pay for a spot. Prices and availability are checked at publish time and rechecked when guides get their dated updates.

How imagery is sourced

Article and pin imagery comes from two places: hand-styled Craft Table graphics and licensed stock photography (see the image credits for every photographer). We do not use generated fake photos of "finished" projects — instructions walk you through the method, not a staged photo shoot. Safety claims follow the sourcing rule above.

Baby safety claims

Sizing, choke-hazard, and material-safety claims (CPSIA and similar) are checked against official sources and linked inline. When guidance changes, the article changes the same week.

Corrections

Mistakes get fixed openly: the article is updated, the dateModified stamp moves, and significant corrections get a dated note at the top. Report one via contact — sourced corrections jump the queue.
